Blessed Children Ministry

Blessed Children Ministry

Guided by a strong belief that we ought to “train up a child in the way he should go,” five members of the church stepped out on the evening of February 16, 2002 into some of the nearby streets knocking on doors wherever they saw children, and persuaded their parents to kindly allow them partake in the learning of Bible lessons, catechisms and hymns at the church premises.

The Blessed Children’s Ministry is an outreach ministry catering to the children of Anifowoshe, Omole and Aboru neighbourhoods in Lagos. Since its inception in March 2002, the ministry has trained many children to date, and has been a source of tremendous blessing to these neighbourhoods under the leadership of Sister Ori Okoroh.

Today there are four classes – Pre-school, Infant, Primary and Teenage-  who are taught using “Lessons for Life” by Jill Masters from the Metropolitan Tabernacle. Classes hold in Aboru on Saturdays and Sundays in Anifowoshe and Omole.

The meeting time runs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the program is as follows:

Devotion for 30 minutes, Bible study/Catechism – 45 minutes to 1 hour.
